Who are Maelstrom Crew?

We are a medium sized corporation based around strong teamwork and a love for fun PVP. If you are interested in flying with like-minded, skilled pilots then MCREW is for you.

We were an established and highly active mercenary corporation, and in our 18 months we successfully completed over 50 campaigns, from small empire wars to fighting unsupported in deep 0.0 hostile territory. We have a dedicated core of pilots that have known and flown alongside each other for a long time, and this makes the corp environment a relaxed and focused place.  Real life always comes first and we don't question peoples' motives for taking time away.  We have members hailing from Europe, North America, and around the world, totaling nearly ten different countries.

A few months back we retired from mercenary life as it was no longer what the corp wanted as a whole.  Searching for something different, we moved to 0.0 and joined our old friends Digital Renegades.

What We Expect:

• Individual skill and decision making is more important than the number of skill points you have.
• No smack talk. A little friendly local banter is fine but smacking and a generally immature attitude isn't the best way to look professional.
• Ability to use both Teamspeak and Ventrilo with a working mic and headset.
• Self-sufficient.  You must be able to provide your own ISK and ships.  As we have 0.0 access, this becomes extremely easy.

• A passion for EVE and PVP.  Simple as that, really.

Dark No More!

As we waged a furious war against DARK, there was trouble brewing behind the scenes in Triumvirate...a struggle was ensuing.  Through the grapevine, Maelstrom Crew was informed that TRI would be folding, so it would be best to remove assets from their stations before chaos ensued.  As we were in the process of securing our hard-won assets, a terrific opportunity to join a new alliance arose.  This alliance, Project Alice, was a small conglomeration formed to take the stations in L-C and C4C once TRI left.  Project Alice had a nice sized capital fleet, and using this valuable resource with determination, swiftly started to secure high value moons around Pure Blind. 

All was well 'til the Reds rolled in... Red Alliance, the quiet Behemoth from down south, rolled in to L-C and C4C, immediately reinforcing every tower in their path.  Project Alice ordered everyone to evacuate the system and relocate to NPC stations a few jumps out...we would be receiving new orders to wage a guerrilla war against RA.  Unfortunately, this never took place...no orders were received to bring the fight to RA.  Instead, we were directed to a new location, and were seemingly giving up any sort of struggle against the Reds.  This, of course, was the turning point for Maelstrom Crew.  After being drug around empire looking for a new 0.0 area to move into, MCrew had enough.  Project Alice started off good, but once we went back to empire, the corp wasn't interested in what Project Alice wanted anymore.  Too much talking...not enough action.  We hope the best for Project Alice as our paths separate!

After leaving Project Alice, we hooked up with some old friends, Digital Renegades, furiously waging battle as coalition partners in the GBC.  The GBC had just launched the much touted, and maligned, MAX campaign in Pure Blind.  The campaign is still going strong at the moment, and we're happily engaging as best we can.  It's a different type of warfare...most of us have not had the opportunity to "lag-fight" in 200-300+ fleet battles.  We look forward to earning our stripes in this battle, and eagerly await the conclusion so we can get back to business with our new Alliance!
